Overview
The Tanzania Cybercrimes Act of 2015 is an Act of Parliament that outlines offenses relating to computer systems; to enable timely and effective detection, prohibition, prevention, response, investigation and prosecution of computer and cybercrimes. Furthermore, the Act facilitate international co-operation in dealing with computer and cybercrime matters.
The Cybercrimes Act came into effect on May 22nd, 2015.
This course trains staff and organization on the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act and how to be aware of actions that may infringe on this Act and related fines and penalties.
Course Objective
Educate users and organizations on:
- Acceptable behavior for information and communication technology (ICT) users.
- Offenses and penalties relating to computer systems and the establishment of the National Computer and Cybercrimes Co-ordination Committee.
- Protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of computer systems, programs and data, systems, services, and infrastructure.
- Facilitating timely and effective prevention, detection, investigation, prosecution and punishment of computer and cybercrimes.
- International co-operation.
